etc..)
Diagnose common conditions (e.g., viral or bacterial
infections, skin conditions, etc..)

What if I have an Emergency?
Call 911 or go to your nearest Emergency room. Nursing stations
are not emergency clinics.
Are physicians available at the Nursing Stations?
Yes. Physicians visit all the Nursing Stations on a regular basis. Contact the Nursing Station nearest you to find out the physician's visiting schedule.
What if I already have a physician?
NPs work as partners to provide health care. Patients can
go to a Nursing Station to visit a NP, regardless if you have,
or do not have, a physician.
How are Nursing Stations funded?
Nursing Stations are funded by the Ministry of Health and
Long Term Care and operated by the West Parry Sound Health
Centre. Additional support comes from local Community Advisory
Committees.
