Admission Procedures

Eligibility

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
• Have valid health insurance coverage

Procedures

1. If you or your representative are seeking admission, you must first contact the Community Care Access Centre (CCAC).
2. If deemed eligible, you or the person you are representing will be asked to choose three long term care facilities including, if you choose, Lakeland.
3. During this process you or your representative may wish to tour our facility. To do this, please contact Social Services Manager.Steve White: (705) 773-4041 Ext. 1446
4. When a room is available at Lakeland, the CCAC will contact you with a "bed offer".
5. If you or your representative accept the offer to join us here at Lakeland, the CCAC will coordinate the details of the admission.

Learning at Lakeland

Lakeland's 5th Anniversary Cookbook

This cookbook is a collection of recipes ranging from appertizers to desserts. The books are $10 and proceeds are split between the spirit committee and the resident council. For more information contact Linda Fabiano at extension 1020.
