Dining Experience
The dining experience is an important part of life at Lakeland and our staff strive to make it pleasant and enjoyable. Family members and friends are always welcome to join residents for any meal. Mealtimes are 8:30am for breakfast, 12:30pm for lunch, and 5:00pm for dinner. The cost for lunch is $6 and $8.50 for dinner. Tickets may be purchased in advance from the Business Manager(705) 773-4041 Ext. 1021 or from the Executive Assistant to the Director of Care(705) 773-4041 Ext. 1026 office across from the public washrooms on the first floor. If it is a last minute decision during the evening or weekend, you can give your payment to any registered staff on duty. Please note that the prices are subject to change.
You are also welcome to use the West Parry Sound Health Centre's cafeteria. The entrance is located on the second floor near the elevator. Cafeteria use is prohibited during an outbreak. This will be indicated by signs.
Family Dining Room
It is also possible to Lakeland book rooms for family meals or any family functions. Contact the Executive Assistant to the Director of Care(705) 773-4041 Ext. 1026 to reserve a room.
The menu at Lakeland is on a four-week rotation and is changed twice a year according to the season. We recognize resident needs when we develop the menu and ensure the menus meet Canada's Food Guide and Ministry of Health and Long Term Care standards. The resident's Food Committee approves menus before they are implemented and requests are received for the Resident Choice meal.
