Our staff — including our fantastic team of PSWs assist in administration of medication and with all activities of daily living. Lakeland also features a 24 hour call bell monitoring system which all of our nursing staff is trained on.
Social Work Services
Our trained and qualified Social Services Manager offers informal resident counselling to deal with issues of stress, loneliness, boredom, depression and other personal or emotional problems attached with the adaption to long term care.
Dementia Special Needs Services (Lake Rosseau Home Area)
Lake Rosseau, our dementia special needs home area, is a specialized environment with specialized services for the residents living there.
Spiritual & Religious Services
Our Chaplain is so much more than a link between Lakeland and all clergies, he runs specific programs such as bible study, non-denominational church services and regular opportunities to "chat" and provide emotional support to residents and family as needed.
Volunteer Services
We have a wide range of people from the community who volunteer their time at Lakeland. Our volunteers provide an invaluable service to the resident's of Lakeland providing support in the operation of our café, family auxilary, special events and outings, recreation programs and more!
Housekeeping & Laundry Services
Our housekeeping staff supply Lakeland's residents with routine general housekeeping services.
Lakeland's laundry is washed by the West Parry Sound Hospital in industrial washers as required by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care. It is important to note that not all clothing can tolerate the temperatures that must be reached to ensure the Ministry's standards are met. For your convenience, there is a domestic washer and dryer available in each Family Room for families and residents to use. Please remember to bring your own detergent.
