April 8^th marks a significant milestone for West Parry Sound Health Centre, as it is the 20th anniversary of our grand opening. Twenty years ago, we proudly unveiled a new building, a symbol of our commitment to providing improved access to care for our patients, residents, families, and visitors. It was a promise that we would work tirelessly to create an environment that supports the health and well-being of our communities.    

Over the years, WPSHC has initiated numerous innovative initiatives that celebrate the unique characteristics of the West Parry Sound region.  WPSHC has be honoured to lead the north-eastern hospitals into the era of integrated electronic health records, establish Ontario’s first Antivenom Depot, adopt a palliative care model in a hospital setting, and pioneer a partnership between a Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic and an acute care facility.  These are just a few examples of the many efforts our team has undertaken to continuously enhance the way we serve the West Parry Sound community 

As we reflect on the journey of the past two decades, we are excited to announce the launch of our brand-new website, designed to further enhance the way we serve our community. Just as the bricks and mortar of our physical location were built to be a foundation of trust and care, our new digital platform will be a vital tool in improving access to health services and information for those who rely on us. 

Our new website represents a natural evolution of our care model – one that is increasingly focused on providing convenient, accessible, and up-to-date information to our patients and their families. With features that allow for easier navigation, access to helpful patient resources, and enhanced opportunities for sharing feedback, we aim to empower our community to stay connected and engaged with their health.  

Designed to showcase what makes us unique, the new website highlights the core values that define WPSHC, our dedicated team, and the exemplary care we provide. While the site’s primary role is to serve our patients and their families, it also gives visitors an opportunity to discover more about our region. With vibrant imagery and content that celebrates our community’s unique beauty, we hope to inspire new talent to join our team and make a difference in the area.
