Accreditation Report

As a hospital in Canada, West Parry Sound Health Centre is required to participate in routine Accreditation practices through many overseeing agencies. The most comprehensive of which is the accreditation process overseen by Accreditation Canada. Accreditation Canada plays a vital role in health care by evaluating and certifying health organizations based on rigorous standards, ensuring they provide high-quality, safe, and effective care to patients. WPSHC is proud to hold the standing of Exemplary throughout our last three accreditation cycles.

Quality Improvement Plan

A Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) is completed annually to outline strategies and actions aimed at enhancing the quality of care we provide. All hospitals in Ontario are required by the Ministry of Health to complete this task annually, in order to help identify areas for improvement, set measurable goals, and track progress over time. By focusing on key quality dimensions hospitals can ensure continuous improvement, meet regulatory standards, and deliver better outcomes for patients and communities.

West Parry Sound Health Centre operates in compliance with the Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to disclose annually the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in a calendar year.
