Donald Sanderson joined West Parry Sound Health Centre and Lakeland Long Term Care as Chief Executive Officer in 2009. His career in health administration spans more than 25 years, previously serving as the CEO of Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll, and the Program Director for cardiovascular services at the London Health Sciences Centre and former Victoria Hospital, London.
Donald is a graduate of Humber College, the University of Western Ontario, and holds a Master’sin Health Administration from the University of Ottawa. He is a Certfied Health Executive with the Canadian College of Health Leaders and past Chair of the Ontario Hospital Association’s Small, Rural and Northern Hospitals Leadership Council.
Donald serves on the OHA Board of Directors where he sits as Chair of the Governance & Nominating Committee. He is Vice Chair of the Board of Governors of Canadore College, and a member of the WPSHC Foundation Board.
Donald is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Parry Sound and a Paul Harris Fellow. He believes strongly in helping to improve the health status of the communities that together we are privileged to serve.
