Roger Alexander has had an extensive career as a corporate CEO and executive spanning a variety of industries such as energy, transportation, infrastructure, mining, medical, and telecommunications. He has done business internationally, in the public and private sectors and in both union and non-union environments. He has had the opportunity to work for firms with active acquisition and divestiture orientations.
The majority of Roger’s corporate career was as a CEO and senior executive at Siemens. More recently he was CEO of AREVA Canada and a mid-sized Canadian privately held EPC (Engineer, Procure, Construct) firm.
Roger currently is Board Chair at Lakeland Holding where he is also Chair of the HR Committee. He was elected to the Board of the WPSHC in 2016. He has served on the boards of the Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters Association, The Canadian Nuclear Association, the University of Toronto Faculty of Engineering Dean’s Advisory Council, and on the boards of other corporations and not-for-profits.
Roger is an Engineering Technologist - Industrial Control. He also holds an MBA from the University of Western Ontario Richard Ivey School of Business and an ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
After many years in “the city,” Roger is enjoying being back in his hometown, Parry Sound.
