News Centre - Donor registry tops 4 million
Trillium Gift of Life Network, Ontario’s government agency responsible for organ and tissue donation and transplantation, recently announced a milestone: four million Ontarians have registered consent to donation.
Northern Ontario has set the bar with 49 percent of the eligible population registered. Top‐ranked communities include North Bay (56 percent), Parry Sound (55 percent) and Sudbury (54 percent).

Volunteers retire after 30 years
Going back 30 years to our former hospital sites, Bridget and Kit Wells have been volunteering to support us in the daily delivery of Patient and Family Centred Care. They were among the original tour guides here when the new WPSHC opened in 2005.

Congratulations to our Lab staff
The West Parry Sound Health Centre Laboratory has done it again.
On June 26, the Institute for Quality Management in Healthcare (IQMH) conducted a surveillance assessment here at WPSHC to ensure that our laboratory still meets the International Standards Organizations (ISO) 15189 accreditation standards. The Laboratory staff rose to the challenge decisively meeting 96 percent of the requirements.
