While in ER... learn a life-saving skill
Patients and other visitors can now learn some valuable health and safety lessons while they wait in our Emergency Department.
With work from EMS, an automated external defibrillator (AED) is now available in the ED waiting area. The fully functional public access defibrillator has a touch-access video screen. The device stores a video training library that currently includes information about how to use an EpiPen, proper use of a fire extinguisher, how to perform CPR, and how to use an AED.

Family offers $500,000 matching opportunity for donors to Northern Angel Council
During a WPSHC Foundation celebration held in Toronto earlier this month, Brett and John LaGamba, owners of newly opened Provo FoodBar, hosted more than 80 cottaging families from our area. Long-time Lake Rosseau cottagers, Brett and John generously welcomed guests for an evening culminating in the announcement of the $500,000 gift from the Family of Walling & Julia Ruby.

High scores in final MORE OB program
The MORE OB Program is implemented over three modules and our team has just completed the final component. Following our pre- and post-Culture Assessment Surveys, our score results were consistently high, demonstrating success in our progress to a culture that actively promotes patient safety.
