Sixty-four ‘curlers’ participated in West Parry Sound Health Centre's Staff and Family Funspiel held on March 2. The event was great fun and it also raised money for the WPSHC Foundation.

Staff learn from mock emergency training
Are Ontario hospitals prepared for a large-scale disaster that could disrupt a major city and overwhelm the health care system?
In late February a realistic simulation exercise took place to test the ability of health care and emergency response workers to deal with a fictional threat to hospital resources.
Three WPSHC staff members took part in this amazing experience.

Masonic Lodge strong supporters of local care
Members of the Goodfellows Masonic Lodge are good friends to local hospital care!
In the last five years, they have provided extraordinary support. With no cause more important to the entire community, the Goodfellows have donated $205,000 in five years.
Donors keeping hospital care local
Having a local hospital allows everyone to be safe at work or play in our northern environment. Hospital services allow elderly residents to age in place. Without our local hospital, residents would travel hundreds of kilometres for the basics of care. Local hospital care means lives are saved in an emergency. It’s impossible to picture our communities without WPSHC.
