EHR Travelling Whiteboard hits the hallways
A handful of members from the Electronic Health Records Project Team are hittin’ the hallways and they’re bringing The Travelling Whiteboard with them. They are keen and eager to engage with staff, to hear questions, comments, suggestions, hopes and worries. The team is looking for the right opportunity to visit your department and listen to what you would like to know.

Masonic Lodge supports EHR project
By the end of June, donors to the West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation will have paid $3,000,000 on the $10,000,000 cost to install electronic health records at the centre.
Within that $3,000,000 are many extraordinary donations. This spring our terrific friends, the Goodfellows Masonic Lodge, donated $25,000 toward the installation.

Foundation’s annual Walk Run Pole raises close to $80,000
Some ran, some gave out chocolates ready to serve, our local firefighters were part of the 260-plus folks on the Foundation’s annual Georgian Bay Walk, Run, Poll held on Sunday 27 May. Just under $80,000 was raised for West Parry Sound Health Centre's new cardiac ultrasound in support of local cardiac care.

Auxiliary - in support of improved care
Members of the WPSHC Auxiliary recently passed a motion in support of purchasing a much-needed mobile lift for our Emergency Department. The specialized device costs approximately $14,500 and is different from other patient lifts in the health centre.
