Auxiliary donation supports Quality Care
Members of the WPSHC Auxiliary are always eager to learn more about how their hard work is benefiting improved patient care. Manager of Laboratory Services Claude Israel recently provided a tour and offered his department’s sincere ‘thank you’ for the purchase of a $5,000 freezer.

Community support for our Foundation
In 2016, the health centre is asking our Foundation to work with Donors to raise just over $600,000 for a variety of equipment that supports both patient recovery and averts a catastrophic breakdown in our technical systems.
After raising $1.6 million in the fiscal year ending this past March, this new amount will have Donors buying over $2,000,000 worth of equipment in just two years! A generous donation from the Trillium Home, Ladies Orange Benevolent Association will help support this year's fund-raising total.

Auxiliary members travel to regional conference
A pleasant ‘road trip’ soon became an adventure for 11 members of our Auxiliary who recently traveled to Sault Ste. Marie to attend the Hospital Auxiliary Association of Ontario North Central Region Conference on April 1, 2 and 3. They left the health centre at 8 a.m. and encountered flooding at Pointe au Baril.
