No, we do not use AI in our screening process. We do ask screening questions through our online application system to determine eligibility, but every application is reviewed by a member of our recruitment team.

Licensed health care professionals must hold a license/registration from the appropriate regulatory body in Ontario. Please be sure to review the specific requirements in the job posting.

After a position is posted on our external Careers page, members of the human resources team review all applications received. The Hiring Manager will then review applications and select candidates to be interviewed based on skills, abilities, experiences, and qualifications as outlined in the job posting.

Candidates who are selected for an interview will be contacted to arrange an in person or virtual interview with a selected hiring team.

After the interview, selected candidates will be asked to provide at least three supervisory references through a Reference Release Form. Supervisory reference checks are conducted prior to any job offers.

If you are the successful candidate, a member of the hiring team will reach out by phone to verbally offer the position and discuss next steps. A formal written job offer will follow, along with details on the onboarding process and your first days as a WPSHC team member.

Every candidate who prepares for and attends an interview will receive follow-up communication in a timely manner.

Our hiring team will connect with you directly to arrange a day and time that works for your schedule. Interviews can be conducted in person, or virtually through the Teams platform. You will receive a confirmation email providing an overview of the process and information about the hiring team.

You can expect to meet with the Hiring Manager and another leader. We schedule an hour for our interviews to provide plenty of time for conversation and questions. We recognize that interviews can be stressful and do our best to create a supportive atmosphere.

You can expect to spend some time talking about your previous work-related experience and career history. We will also ask you about some events or situations where you played a key role. You can prepare to respond to these behaviour-based questions by thinking about an EAR. That stands for Example, Action, Result. We will ask you a question or provide a scenario, and ask that you provide a specific example, explain the action that you took, and the result or outcome of your action.

You will also have an opportunity to ask questions of the Hiring Manager.
