Katie is a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner who graduated from the Masters of Nursing: Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program at Athabasca University. Prior to becoming an NP she worked in Critical Care and taught in the BScN program at Cambrian College and Nipissing University. She is passionate about health care education and practices what she preaches by living an active and balanced lifestyle. When not at the Nursing Station, Katie loves enjoying the outdoors with her husband and their two daughters. She also enjoys weightlifting, running, hiking, and enjoys exploring family friendly healthy recipes .
Katie is also a Nationally Qualified competitive body builder! She won overall at her last show, and hopes to win some more hardware this summer at the Natural Pro-Qualifier! She shares her passion for healthy living with her husband and children!
She is thrilled to be living her dream and raising her family in such a wonderful dynamic community which she is proud to be a part of.
With all of the new and exciting funding, Katie is still the manager and primary care NP; as well as the NPLC team lead! She continues to manage all of her patients, but also has coverage from other incredible NPs so that she can get the team running to serve you better!

Brittany is our newest team member! She was a Nurse Practitioner Student of Katies who is born and raised in the area and has a passion for providing care to her community. She has been working in close collaboration with Katie, to ensure that we continue to have daily Nurse Practitioner care while Katie is getting the new team running!
Brittany has extensive experience, working in primary care for over 6 years at the Rugged Shores Family health team before beginning her studies as Nurse Practitioner, and is an expert in our local resources!
Brittany plans to stay and work as a Nurse Practitioner to provide even more care to the WPSHC Rural NPLC- Rosseau Site. When not at the "Nursing Station" Brittany, enjoys hiking with her dogs and spending time with her husband. She also has a special interest in maintaining a healthy balanced lifestyle, and looks forward to caring for our community!
Lead Administrative AssistantKaren is the lead administrative assistant at the WPSHC Rural NPLC- Rosseau (Rosseau Nursing Station). She joined the nursing station in 2018, hailing from an over 30 years at the WPSHC, most of which were in the busy emergency department. We are thrilled to have her experience and passion to serve her Local Community! Karen was born and raised in Parry Sound!
When not at the nursing station, she enjoys working on her farm, and spending time with her family and furless kitties!
Cathy joined the Rosseau Nursing Station in 2013 initially working the summer weekend hours. In 2015, she started working on a part time basis throughout the year as well as during the summer weekend hours. Cathy has a passion for helping others, particularly in a health care setting. When she is not at the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
