Our Commitment to You
WPSHC is committed to maintaining the highest level of cleanliness. Every single member of our team plays a vital role in preventing infections and ensuring a clean, healthy, care environment for everyone. This includes:
- Our dedicated and thorough Environmental Services and Linen Services Teams who clean approximately 235,982 square feet routinely and launder 3 000lbs of laundry each month. IPAC precautions included running internal standards tests, multiple times each week. These teams are absolutely instrumental in reducing the transmission of infectious diseases.
- Our Infection Prevention and Control Team ensures that our team follows the requirements outlined by our infection prevention practices and safety measures. This team meets routinely with regional Public Health, community partners, and staff in collaboration to ensure that we work in lockstep, utilizing the most current data available.
- Our frontline staff who are dedicated to following Infection Prevention and Control guidelines such as: adhering to the Four Moments of Hand Hygiene, properly donning and doffing personal protective equipment, following the precautions outlined by patient-specific requirements.
- Monitoring local rates of infectious diseases and taking steps to increase or decrease required safety precautions. During seasons of high frequency, we ask that patients and families directly participate with us to maintain a safe environment. This may include requests to mask, participate in testing, and reduce or eliminate visits from visitors who are feeling unwell.
